Purpose
The Economic Development Authority of Fauquier County, Virginia (formerly known as the Industrial Development Authority) is authorized to approve tax-exempt bonds to finance the acquisition of land, building, and new capital equipment for certain businesses and nonprofit organizations located in the County. These Industrial Revenue Bonds are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations and manufacturing businesses that meet the qualifications and restrictions defined in the U.S. Tax Code.
Authority
The Economic Development Authority is established pursuant to the Code of Virginia.
Term
Authority members serve for a term of four years.
